On his Instagram Stories, the actor expressed admiration for the resilience and helping spirit of his fellow Cebuanos, sharing how they once again came together in the face of adversity.
“Again witnessed the heart of the Cebuano! Our kababayans going the extra mile to help each other,” he wrote. “Everyone supporting one another and always giving a helping hand. That’s the Filipino! Basta Bisaya, GAHI!!”

Matteo’s message reflected his deep connection with his home province of Cebu, as he highlighted the collective effort of residents who continue to rise above the earthquake’s impact through cooperation and mutual support.
In a follow-up post, the actor emphasized the importance of learning from difficult experiences and using them as opportunities for growth. “Now, it’s time to rebuild and learn. Correct our mistakes and become better. God bless all! Thank you to all our kababayans for helping BOGO,” he said.

His statements came as Bogo City and nearby areas work toward recovery and rebuilding efforts, with volunteers and locals joining hands to provide aid to those affected.
Matteo Guidicelli is a Filipino-Italian actor, singer, model, and former kart racer. He began his career in motorsports at the age of 11, earning multiple awards, including three Karter of the Year titles. Transitioning into entertainment, his acting debut came in 2007 with ABS-CBN's "Gokada Go," followed by roles in "Agua Bendita" and "My Binondo Girl." In addition to his entertainment career, Matteo serves as a reservist. He has also ventured into the restaurant business, co-founding Da Gianni Cucina Italiana. Matteo is married to Sarah Geronimo.
