“The amount of people who comment about my kids looking madungis,” she began, pointing out how many continue to equate a child’s happiness and health with cleanliness or tidiness.
Andi went on to contrast these judgments with another lifestyle she does not want for her kids. She wrote that these parents, “are most likely the same type of people who have children stuck on their iPads all day, eating fast/ junk food for all three mealtimes (and probably more), and then throw huge fits whenever things don't go their way.”
She then concluded her message with a reminder about what truly matters to her as a mother.
“No parent is perfect, but I'd rather mine be messy from living fully, than clean from sitting still and being disconnected from it,” Andi stressed.
This is not the first time Andi has openly defended her parenting style. Since moving to Siargao with her fiancé Philmar Alipayo, she has often emphasized raising her children close to nature, prioritizing experiences over appearances.
Through her latest post, Andi highlighted the value she places on allowing her kids to explore and engage with the world around them, even if it means getting dirt under their nails.

Andi Eigenmann is a Filipino actress, model, and social media personality. She is known for her roles in television dramas and films in the Philippines. She comes from a prominent showbiz family—her mother is veteran actress Jaclyn Jose, and her father is seasoned actor Mark Gil. Andi rose to fame for her lead role in the ABS-CBN fantasy drama Agua Bendita. In recent years, however, she stepped away from mainstream showbiz to embrace a more peaceful island life. She relocated to Siargao with her fiancé, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, and their children.
As previously reported by KAMI, Andi Eigenmann honored her late father, Mark Gil, by sharing a throwback photo of him with his children on Instagram Stories. In her caption, she reflected that the best gift their father left them was each other, which she described as far more valuable than any wealth “na galing sa nakaw.” The post was shared as the family observed the 11th death anniversary of the late veteran actor.
Earlier, Andi Eigenmann was greatly amused when she saw Philmar Alipayo on screen. Her fiancé was recently featured in the Netflix docuseries '1 in 7641.' On Instagram, Andi couldn't help but joke and tease Philmar about his "makeup" in the show. Still, Andi didn't forget to share with her followers where Philmar's feature could be streamed.
