Actress Denise Laurel recently opened up in an interview with Karen Davila about her experiences and struggles as a single mother, which began when she gave birth at the age of 23. She admitted that she was harder on herself than her family was, feeling the pressure of raising a child while unmarried, but ultimately found strength in her family’s support, who treated her son as a blessing from the very start.

The actress revealed that her son’s father, a foreign national, has not been present in their lives, but she is open to the possibility of him being involved if he decides to fully embrace fatherhood. Denise emphasized that what matters most to her is ensuring her son grows up surrounded by people who will love, guide, and help him become the best person he can be.
"They are not in touch. But I did tell him na kapag ready na siya maging tatay and maging present, then he can fully come into the picture but if he can be wishy-washy, huwag muna.”
Denise Laurel is a Filipino actress who has starred in several teleseryes including “Playhouse,” “La Luna Sangre,” and “The Better Half.” She comes from a family of politicians being the great-granddaughter of former President Jose P. Laurel.
In another report, Denise debunked a post that uses her to promote a coffee brand she is not affiliated with. The actress took to Instagram to expose the misleading post that uses her photos at a restaurant. In a lengthy caption, Denise expressed being upset and feeling used by the owner of the post. The wellness company that produces the said coffee then apologized to Denise and assured that they will investigate who initiated the post.
Earlier, she took to social media to share the time when she experienced bullying from her peers. The actress said that oftentimes, the object of their teasing and bullying was the shape and size of her lips. She revealed that she has experienced being called names like duckie, mojacko, and arrow-lips. Denise said she is sharing her experience to give courage and self-confidence to those who went through or continue to go through similar situations.
