“A month late but had to post already because hello… it’s Leon’s birthday naman tomorrow. As a mother of 5, kaya pa ba, Iya?!” she wrote, before fondly noting each of her kids’ unique personalities during the event—Drew setting the tone, Astro feeling overwhelmed, Kuya being cheeky, Leon acting crazy, Alana being shy but happy, and Anya clueless in the moment.
Reflecting on her daughter, Iya praised Alana for being a loving, thoughtful, and caring person despite being a bit dramatic at times, “Our ate is 5yrs old na. I love this fruitloop so much! And as real as the drama and kaartehan is getting, so are the moments of love, thoughtfulness and care that she has for her siblings and the people she loves. Oh! And she cleans up too! In 2004, she transitioned to ABS-CBN, becoming a VJ for MYX and appearing on shows like ASAP and Wowowee. In 2014, Iya returned to GMA Network. She is married to Drew Arellano and they have five children.
