On his social media page, the singer-songwriter shared a couple of posts containing photos of himself and his fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts posing before the iconic tower.
In one of his posts, Ogie penned a short yet emotional farewell to the historic tower, which is set to be demolished following the sale of part of the media company’s property in Quezon City.
“Salamat. Paalam. Kapamilya Forever,” he earnestly wrote.

In his other post, Ogie took a stroll down memory lane and recollected the start of his career.
“Dito po ako nagsimula noong taong 1991 sa programang Small Brothers kasama si pareng @jannolategibbs sina Cheenee de Leon, Janet Arnaiz, Racel Tuazon, at ang Neocolours,” he emotionally recalled.
“Hinding hindi ko ito malilimutan. Salamat sa yo at sa inyo. Mananatiling #kapamilyaforever,” Ogie concluded his moving tribute post.

ABS-CBN is one of the leading media companies in the Philippines. Its 25-year franchise expired on May 4, 2020 and the Committee on Legislative Franchises of the House of Representatives officially rejected on July 10 its bid to secure another franchise.

Along with the carousel post, Kuya Kim expressed his heartfelt gratitude to ABS-CBN and its historic tower. The television host underscored, “Naging Kuya Kim ako dahil sa iyo.” Kuya Kim concluded his post by writing a short yet optimistic message to all the Kapamilya.
