Karen Davila published a poignant post about the ABS-CBN Millennium Tower, which is set to be demolished following the sale of part of ABS-CBN’s property in Quezon City.

On Wednesday, July 9, Karen shared a carousel of photos and clips showing several Kapamilya stars and their bosses flocking to the area to bid farewell to their beloved tower.

The veteran broadcast journalist likewise wrote a caption sharing her poignant thoughts on the tower’s demolition.

“KAPAMILYA FOREVER. An emotional goodbye to our beloved ABS-CBN TOWER… the first to be dismantled before the iconic ABS-CBN building in the coming months. The tower that has broadcast to millions of Filipinos for decades since 1986. My heart aches,” she emotionally wrote.

She went on to express, “I am so moved seeing everyone come together. After what’s unjustly been done to ABS-CBN - not renewing its franchise in 2020 - it is amazing, we are still here - standing, smiling, creating. Resilient.”

Karen likewise shared ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak’s striking remark when they gathered at the area.

“‘Memories are not held by things but carried by people’, a powerful truth from our president, Carlo Katigbak. A testament that we will continue to tell stories that will live in the hearts of the Filipino.”

Furthermore, the renowned broadcaster expressed her deep love for the media company.

“I have been with ABS-CBN for almost 25 years now. My love runs deep for this company. I have grown and become the professional I am today because of ABS-CBN’s tough terrain. Now more than ever, I see every face, value every person, appreciate every day. I live grateful.”

Karen Davila is a journalist, radio broadcaster, newsreader and television presenter in the Philippines. She is best known for her news programs on ABS-CBN. Karen has also found immense success as a YouTube content creator.
