Gladys Reyes, who is grieving the passing of Lolit Solis, posted an emotional tribute to the late veteran talent manager.

In her heartfelt post, the actress shared photos and clips taken when she visited Solis’ wake at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Commonwealth, Quezon City.

In the caption, Reyes honored Solis, who was among the first people who believed in her potential.

“Nay Lolit...isa sa unang taong naniwala sakin, hinandle nya ako for 30 years,” she warmly wrote.

“Sya ang nagsabi na panindagan ko na ang pagiging kontrabida dahil di naman daw sweet ang mukha ko and that time, after Mara Clara wala naman gaanong teens na nagkokontrabida pa. True enough, ang daming dumating na opportunities and thank God til now,” the veteran actress recalled.

Reyes went on to share Solis’ heartbreaking remark during the latter’s birthday celebration last May.

“Last May, nung bday nya, sabi nya, quota na sya. Pagod na daw sya,” she recounted.

The actress then mournfully expressed, “Pero tyak mamimiss namin sya sa mga kapilyahan nya at pagiging nanay nya sa min.”

“Salamat kay Nanay Lolit!” Reyes concluded her post, airing her gratitude to the late talent manager and entertainment reporter.

Lolit Solis was a well-known personality in the Philippine showbiz industry. Born on May 20, 1947, in Sampaloc, Manila, she started her career as an entertainment news writer and later became a talent manager and host of television talk shows. She passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 78 after her long battle with kidney disease.

In a previous report by KAMI, Sandy Andolong shared on Instagram Stories some photos captured when she and her husband, Christopher de Leon, visited Solis’ wake, which is being held at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Commonwealth, Quezon City. Aside from the couple, Pauleen Luna, Lorna Tolentino, Cavite representative Lani Mercado-Revilla, Benjie Paras, Tonton Gutierrez, and Glydel Mercado, have also visited the wake. ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes was likewise spotted paying her respects to the late talent manager and entertainment reporter.

In another report, former Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. is among those grieving the death of Lolit Solis. Following the heartbreaking news about Solis’ death, Revilla took to social media to pay tribute to his longtime talent manager. Along with a set of heartwarming photos featuring Solis, the actor-politician penned his poignant farewell message to the late showbiz columnist. Revilla went on to air his earnest gratitude to Manay Lolit, whom he affectionately treated as his second mother. Revilla also honored the late talent manager and entertainment reporter’s contributions to the local entertainment industry.
