Solis passed away on Thursday, July 3 after her long battle with kidney disease. She was 78 years old.

In a deeply emotional post, Vargas expressed how much he mourns his longtime talent manager’s demise.

“My heart is totally broken. I feel like nawala ang isang malaking bahagi ng buhay ko. Ngayon ko lang nakayanan mag-post,” the actor-politician wrote.

He sorrowfully continued, “Nawalan ako ng Nanay. Nawalan ako ng kaibigan. Nawalan ako ng Ninang. Nawalan ako ng tagapagpayo, mapacareer man o personal. Nawalan ako ng tagapagtanggol. Nawalan ako ng manager.”

“21 years tayong magkasama, Nay Lolit. Walang kontrata. Just our word of honor at pagmamahal ang pinanghawakan natin through our meaningful years together. Bihira ang ganitong pagsasama. Through thick and thin talaga,” Vargas continued, recounting about his and Solis’ trust and love for each other.

He went on to appreciate Manay Lolit’s confidence in his abilities and her guidance.

“You believed in me when many didn’t. You were always honest with me and made sure I improved my craft and character. You picked me up when I was down. You helped me become stronger. You treated me like your own child.”

Vargas concluded his post by reiterating his love for Solis. He also stressed that Manay Lolit’s absence will be felt.

“Mahal na mahal kita, Nay Lolit. Sobrang mamimiss kita. Isa lang ang LOLIT SOLIS. Isa lang! Rest in peace, Nay,” the actor politician concluded his mournful post.

Lolit Solis was a well-known personality in the Philippine showbiz industry. Born on May 20, 1947, in Sampaloc, Manila, she started her career as an entertainment news writer and later became a talent manager and host of television talk shows.

He took to social media to post an emotional farewell message to his longtime talent manager along with photos of them. The actor-politician expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Solis, whom her treated as his second mother. Revilla also honored the late talent manager and showbiz columnist’s contributions to the local entertainment industry.

The actress described Lolit as a second mother who cared for her deeply even after she got married and had children.
