“Didn’t think I’d make it out alive, but…WE OUTTIE,” she began her post.
Gela went on to express her gratitude to people who were part of her journey to finishing college.
“Forever grateful to my family, friends, and loved ones who pushed me, supported me, and understood the crazy schedule, the stress, and the grind it took to balance school, dance, and work.”
She went on to share, “Balancing college with showbiz wasn’t easy, especially as a regular student with no special passes for absences or being late. And since my course is directly tied to my job, there was always added pressure. I often caught myself thinking, 'I learn so much more on the field (through experience) than in the classroom.' Hindi sa nagmamagaling ako but I’ve always learned best by doing, not just by listening.”
“Still, I’m beyond grateful for this journey, an opportunity not everyone is blessed to have. I’m thankful for my professors who guided me, especially those who truly understood where I was coming from and the struggle of figuring it all out along the way,” Gela continued, expressing appreciation for her professors’ guidance.
She likewise opened up, “There were so many moments I wanted to give up, but I kept going, not just for myself, but because I know it’s almost every parent’s dream to see their child graduate.”
“So to mom @sylviasanchez_a and dad @xaviiart, this one’s for you. Thank you, and congratulations to us,” she affectionately told her parents.

Sylvia Sanchez is a Filipina actress known for her dramatic roles. She is the mother of actors Arjo Atayde and Ria Atayde.
Sylvia Sanchez, in a previous video post, flexed the sweet letter and gift given her by her daughter Gela. In her message, Gela expressed her gratitude to her mom, assuring her that she’s doing a good job. She also implored her mom to take a break and to rest when she can. Near the end of the video, Sylvia showed the sweet present that Gela gave her.
In an interview over "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Sylvia expressed hope that she would finally get the closure she needed with her father decades after they got separated. It can be recalled that Sylvia revealed to Tito Boy that she was able to secure the address of her biological father. She also said that she became the breadwinner of their family after her father left them. Despite what happened, the veteran actress said her father was the inspiration that fueled her desire to make it in showbiz.
