Jericho Rosales' management team warns public over actor's fake ad

Jericho Rosales has been added to the list of public figures who were victimized by unauthorized use of their identities in fake advertisements.

On Saturday, June 21, the actor’s management team led by Pinky Angodung released a statement warning the public over the manipulated use of Rosales’ likeness on certain Facebook pages and websites.

“It has come to our attention that certain Facebook pages and websites are using JERICHO ROSALES' image without his or our authorization,” the statement began.

The team then clarified that Rosales does not have any links to such pages and sites.

“Please be advised that Jericho ('Echo') has no affiliation whatsoever with these sites, pages, or their advertisements. The ad in question is a DEEPFÂKE and was created without the consent of Jericho or his management.”

“We urge everyone to remain vigilant and help us report these pages to Facebook,” they continued, emphasizing the need for continued awareness amid the spread of fake online content.

“If you come across similar misleading ads, please do not engage and report them immediately,” they requested.

The management also revealed, “In the meantime, we are evaluating the appropriate legal action against these unlawful activities.”

“Thank you for your continued support.”

Jericho Rosales is a well-known Filipino actor, singer, and model, celebrated for his versatile talent and compelling performances in television dramas and films. He became a household name through hit teleseryes like "Pangako Sa 'Yo" and "The Legal Wife." Known for his matinee idol looks and strong acting chops, Jericho has earned critical acclaim and several awards for his roles in both mainstream and independent films, such as "Baler" and "Alagwa."

In his personal life, Jericho tied the knot with Kim Jones in May 2014. However, the two eventually parted ways in 2019. Echo is currently dating actress Janine Gutierrez.

As previously reported by KAMI, Jericho Rosales took to social media to honor the late veteran star, Ricky Davao. On Instagram, Jericho honored Ricky who had just passed away at the age of 63 this year. In his post, Jericho had nothing but kind words to say about Ricky and the gratitude he showed. According to him, Ricky was one of the few artists he had looked up to.

Jericho Rosales also paid tribute to the late Pilita Corrales, his girlfriend Janine Gutierrez’s grandmother. In an Instagram post, Jericho wrote a heartfelt message to the bereaved family. He expressed how much he felt honored to have met the Asia’s Queen of Songs. The actor also shared a video of his mother singing Pilita’s “Ang Pipit.”
