In an interview with Aubrey Carampel for GMA Integrated News and 24 Oras, Ashley was asked about the current status of her relationship with her mother after years of estrangement. The actress, known for her roles in various GMA dramas, admitted that healing their bond remains a work in progress.

“Honestly we’re still working on it, Ms. Aubrey,” Ashley shared. “Sobrang tagal rin kasi ng three years na hindi pag-uusap and malalim rin po talaga ‘yung sugat na nabigay namin sa isa’t-isa. I’m always reaching out pero baka need time pa.”

Ashley revealed that she had made several attempts to reach out, especially after receiving a letter from her mother, which gave her hope for reconciliation. The Kapuso star was in tears while trying to answer the question about her mother.

“I tried po talaga, kakalabas ko lang, kasi nakatanggap rin naman po ako ng letter sa kaniya. Also on Mother’s Day, I tried. I messaged her,” she said, her voice tinged with emotion.
