In a previous report by KAMI, GMA Network rejected TAPE Inc.’s settlement offer during mediation over a ₱37.9 million estafa case concerning unpaid airtime fees. GMA lawyer Lynn Delfin stated the proposed amount was “not sufficient” to cover TAPE’s full liability to the network. TAPE offered a real estate property worth ₱39 million, but GMA declined, seeking full payment of total airtime arrears, not just the amount in the estafa complaint. The case will proceed to a preliminary investigation, as no agreement was reached during mediation. Earlier, GMA Network filed an estafa complaint against the officers of TAPE Inc., namely, Romeo Jalosjos, Jr., Romeo Jalosjos, Sr., Seth Frederick "Bullet" Jalosjos, Malou Choa-Fagar, Michaela Magtoto, and Zenaida Buenavista.

Kapuso Comedy Genius Michael V just shared an alarming post on social media. On his socmed pages on Saturday, May 31, Bitoy warned the public about a fake advertisement. In his post, the comedian shared a video of the ad that made use of his identity. Bitoy’s face and voice were used in the video, which was apparently manipulated using artificial intelligence (AI), to promote a WiFi modem. The “Bubble Gang” and “Pepito Manaloto” star then denied having any link to the advertisement or company involved in the video. As per the comedian, the user even wrote fake comments to make the ad more believable. In the caption, Bitoy also urged all netizens to stay vigilant amid the spread of fake online content.
