Gerald went on to describe the grueling schedule that came with his rapid rise to stardom. “M‑W‑F we would be taping Sana Maulit Muli, T‑TH we had our first movie, First Day High. And then Sunday was ASAP.” He painted a vivid picture of life backstage, saying, “Yung dressing room natin sa ASAP, sa dulo nun may opisina, liliko ka and then pag lumiko ka pa, may parang empty space dun.”
He admitted that the exhaustion and pressure led to breakdowns before performances. “Bro, umiiyak ako dun. I’ll never forget that. Umiiyak ako dun bago ako mag-opening because of first, exhaustion and frustration.” He humbly acknowledged his inexperience, adding, “Because siyempre hindi ka naman magaling agad eh.
