Actress Lovely Abella took to Instagram to express her gratitude and share an emotional update about her husband, Benj Manalo, who recently underwent surgery.

Posting photos of Benj in the hospital following his operation, Lovely offered heartfelt thanks to God and their loved ones for the support during what she described as both a challenging and faith-deepening time for their family.

“Sa panahon ngayon, mapamasaya o mahirap na challenge sa buhay, nagpapasalamat kami kay Lord,” she wrote. “Kasi hindi niya ibibigay kung wala kami matututunan at heto yung panahon na mas lalong magiging deeper pa ang Faith namin sa kanya.” She added that Benj is now in the recovery area and doing well after his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) surgery, which was rushed to ensure he’d recover in time to dance with their daughter at her debut.

Lovely said: “Sa mga nagtatanong ACL surgery po ang ginawa saknya, medyo namadali ang proseso kasi gusto niya gumaling agad para maisayaw niya ang anak niya sa Debut”

Benj, a businessman and an actor, sustained the injury during a recent basketball game. Despite the unexpected setback, the couple has remained positive and full of gratitude. “Dad Benj Manalo, super proud kami sa yo,” Lovely added. “Andito lang kami para alagaan at mahalin ka. Excited kami sa mga travels at fitness journey natin.”

She also thanked Dr. Raul Eufemio and his team for the smooth and quick procedure: “Maraming maraming salamat po sa napakabilis at pulidong surgery.”
