The actress posted photos of her family visiting the wake of the priest, along with a long caption detailing how Father Rogelio helped Ayesha in her tough times as a Grade 7 student.

Yasmien shared: “I want to say goodbye to Father Rogelio Alarcon, along with my family. He was the founder of the Seibo College Foundation, where my daughter completed her Grade 7. My daughter, Ayesha, had a conversation with Father Rogelio, who was very welcoming to her, even though it was almost the end of the school year. He embraced her into his school with warmth and care. #AyeshaZara made a white crocheted rose for Lolo Father Alaracon.

Furthermore, Yasmien expressed her admiration for Seibo College Foundation’s non-grading system:

“As an alumnus of UST Angelicum College, I truly appreciate their non-grading system. This approach allowed us students to learn to help each other rather than competing or feeling envious of others’ achievements. It made a significant difference in how we grew and learned together as Angelicans.
“Father Rogelio was a visionary and a true educational reformist. He believed in recognizing the uniqueness of every child and transforming education to be more meaningful and accessible, especially for the poor. He founded Angelicum College in 1972, pioneering the non-graded system in the Philippines, and later established Angelicum School in Iloilo. He worked tirelessly to help others, even creating programs like REAP to reach the marginalized.”

In conclusion, Yasmien thanked the priest for being kind and for creating a system that has helped many children, including Ayesha, finish their studies.

“Rest in peace, Father. Thank you for your kindness, your vision, and for creating a system that has helped many children, including my daughter and me, complete their studies. Your work truly made a difference in our lives.”
