“It was around mid-season of Pari ‘Koy when they announced we’d have a special guest,” he wrote. “I didn’t expect it would be the Nora Aunor.”

He described the long shooting day—rain machines in full effect, high-stakes drama under the direction of the late Maryo J. delos Reyes—culminating in a scene with Aunor past midnight, in front of Father Kokoy’s church.

“August 2015. It was a long shooting day—mostly drama. My scene with her was scheduled toward the end, past midnight, in front of Father Kokoy’s church. Rain machines on full blast, everyone focused. The kind of setup that demands your best. All under the direction of the great, late Direk Maryo J.”
“I was nervous. It’s not every day you get to share the screen with the Superstar.”

What stood out for Dingdong was not just her performance, but her humanity. During a break, when two monoblock chairs were brought out, she chose to sit beside him instead of retreating to her tent. The two shared a quiet, simple conversation—about “nothing in particular, and maybe everything that mattered in that moment,” he wrote.

Nora Aunor, binigyan ng nakaaantig na tribute ng anak na si Lotlot de Leon: “Her light lives on”

“She didn’t make me feel like I had to prove anything. She made sure I was okay. She was generous with her presence—not just in the scene, but in that in-between space where actors wait and breathe.”
“In that kind of space, she didn’t need to say much. It’s that kind of grace that stays with you. The kind that reminds you why people like her are legends—not just because of the work, but because of how they carry the weight of it with humility.”

In his caption, Dingdong emphasized that the memory of that night stayed with him far beyond the scene they shot together.

“For me, it wasn’t just about the scene. It was about that ten-minute ‘standby actors’ moment with Ate Guy on a chilly August night in 2015.”
“And yes, I’m proud to say I shared it with a National Artist. With a Superstar. Maraming salamat, Ate Guy… Rest in power.”.
