Sharon Cuneta has spoken up on social media, explaining why she was unable to attend the recent rally of her husband, former Senator Kiko Pangilinan, in Bulacan.

In a heartfelt message, the Megastar shared the details of a sudden illness that left her bedridden and unable to join the campaign event, despite being fully prepared to go.
“I am so sorry po sa lahat ng dumalo sa rally ni Kiko sa Bulacan kahapon dahil hindi po ako nakapunta when talaga pong reading-ready na po sana kami.
“Ang totoo po, nagkasakit po ako ng di ko pa po dinanas sa buong buhay ko. April 7 po sosorpresahin ko si KC sa paborito naming resort para sa birthday niya.

“Bago po ako umalis, di ko po alam bakit bigla pong humilab ng grabe ang sikmura ko at duwal po ako ng duwal.
Kahit po ganon lumipad pa rin ako para makasama ang anak ko ng isang gabi man lang dahil nakaschedule nga po kami sa Bulacan the next day.”
She continued describing what happened once she arrived to celebrate her daughter KC Concepcion’s birthday:
“Pagdating ko po kay KC masaya kami tapos nagulat ako duwal na naman po.
Kaya di na po ako nakakain sa birthday dinner nya kundi nakahiga na lang po ako sa room naming dalawa.
Tuloy pa rin po ang duwal. Next day lipad kami pauwi ng umaga. Plane pa lang po heto na naman. Paguwing paguwi ko derecho na naman sa banyo.”
Despite planning to go to the hospital, Sharon waited for test results at home:
“Nagpareserve na kami ng room sa St. Luke’s pero nagpakuha na po ako ng dugo sa bahay at hinintay ko ang results.
Nakapagtataka naman po at salamat sa Diyos normal lahat.
Pero nilunod na po ako ng Pocari Sweat at Erceflora. Di pa po ako bumabangon ng matagal since yesterday na pinahiga at pinarest na po ako.
Di na po ako pinapunta sa hospital para mag-suero dahil nga po pinaiinom na ako.
Di pa po ako nagduduwal mula noong humiga ako kahapon. Pero natatakot po ako tumayo ng matagal dahil dun po ako biglang inaatake ng hilo.
Lugaw at saging lang po ang kinakain ko mula kahapon at ngayong umaga.”
She then apologized to those who came to the rally and reassured her followers:
“Please pray for me. But I don’t want you to worry dahil mukhang dehydrated lang po ako at sobra po akong stressed this whole past week kaya nagkaganito.
Ineexplain ko lang po dahil hiyang-hiya po ako sa inyong nagpuntang Bulacan kahapon.
Siempre nag-alala si Kiko pag-uwi ko at nalaman niya. Sabi nya mas importante naman po ang health ko. Pero pasensiya na po talaga.
Hindi na po sana ako nagkwento at nagpaliwanag kundi po ako sorring-sorry. Maraming salamat po. Love you all.”
