Singer Klarisse de Guzman made a heartfelt revelation on the latest episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition aired Wednesday, coming out as a member of the LGBT+ community.

The The Voice Philippines alum admitted she had hesitated about joining the reality show due to fears of exposing her personal life. However, she ultimately decided that it was time to be open about her identity.

“Ang tagal kong pinag-isipan kung sasali ako ng PBB kasi hindi ko alam kung kaya kong i-expose ang buhay ko. Actually, nung una nag-no ako, parang kaya ko ba? Kaya ko bang i-open ’yung sarili ko sa public. Eh, obviously nandito ako, so, kaya ko?” Klarisse shared, reflecting on her initial doubts.

Summoning the courage to make her truth public, she announced, “Tingin ko ito na ‘yung time na sabihin sa inyo and to tell the world that I’m not straight.”

She then officially identified herself as bi, revealing that she has been in a committed relationship for the past four years. “I’m am bi. ’Yung kinukwento ko sa inyo na may four years akong partner. Yes, I have a partner of four years (and) her name is Trina. Hindi ko in-expect na masasabi ko ito ngayon,” she admitted.

Her decision to come out on national television marks a significant personal milestone and contributes to greater visibility and representation of the LGBT+ community in Philippine entertainment.

Klarisse de Guzman, who was born on September 6, 1991, is a Filipino singer and composer who became a star after winning first-runner up in the first season of The Voice of the Philippines. She was also crowned the winner of the third season of Your Face Sounds Familiar in 2021.

Aside from Klarisse’s revelation, other PBB news went viral online. Previously, Ashley Ortega received an emotional welcome from her Sparkle GMA Artist Center family. This occurred after her eviction from Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, with her boyfriend Mavy Legaspi also present at the Sparkle office. During her PBB stint, she was paired with AC Bonifacio as but was among the first to be evicted

Meanwhile, Gabbi Garcia, a Kapuso star, became visibly emotional during her hosting stint. Previously, while hosting 'Pinoy Big Brother' with her co-hosts, Gabbi became teary-eyed. This was because of AC Bonifacio and Ashley Ortega becoming the first evictees.
