Senator Robin Padilla, in a report by Abante Tonite, commented on the breakup last year between his nephew Daniel Padilla and actress Kathryn Bernardo.

Based on Abante’s report, the actor-politician believes that once Kathryn and Daniel mature, they will realize that they are meant for each other and that they will reconcile as a couple once they’re given a project together.

“Ganyan talaga ang pag-ibig, sa simula may tampuhan dahil mga bata pa sila pero pag nag -mature sila ma-realize nila na sila pa rin sa isa’t-isa. Tingnan mo ‘pag nagkapelikula uli ‘yang dalawa magkakabalikan yan,” Robin said.

According to Robin, he wants Kathryn for Daniel even if she did not vote for Robin in the last senatorial election, Abante reported. He also acknowledged Kathryn’s contribution to Daniel’s success in the showbiz industry.

“Boto ako kay Kathryn Kahit hindi niya ako binoto.

“Ang buong Padilla ay malaki ang pagpugay namin kay Kathryn dahil nagbigay rin ng break kay Daniel kaya ang paggalang namin kay Kathryn ay sobra-sobra,” he explained.

Finally, Robin reportedly encouraged Kathryn and Daniel to enjoy their lives away from each other because that will supposedly allow them to realize that they love each other.

“Ngayon hangga’t magkahiwalay kayo mag-enjoy kayo at habang nage-enjoy kayo doon niyo ma-realize na mahal ninyo ang isa’t-isa,” the senator said.

As reported by PhilStar, Kathryn announced her breakup with Daniel last November. Kathryn said: “What Deej and I had was real. It was never for show. We were together not because of the cameras, not because of the fans, not because of the money that comes with a successful love team. We were genuinely in love.”

Months after the split, Kathryn said that she has moved on from her relationship with Daniel, in an interview by Mega magazine. The actress said: “I know that I’m okay. I can say I’m healed.”
