Carla Abellana shares her views on divorce as a Catholic

In a recent interview with Nelson Canlas on GMA’s 24 Oras, actress Carla Abellana openly discussed her stance on divorce in the Philippines.

Having been separated from her former husband, Tom Rodriguez, Carla shared her realistic perspective on the matter, despite being a Catholic.

"Catholic ako, pero ano naman ako din, very realistic naman din ako. I see the bigger picture and, of course, sa panahon ngayon, iba na, e. Sa nakikita ko, ang daming magbe-benefit because aminin natin, marriage isn't easy, it can get toxic. Marami, unfortunately, na nagiging abusive na 'yung relationship nila," she explained.

Carla emphasized that many marriages remain intact for the sake of children or due to a lack of alternatives, despite being unhealthy for the family. "There are marriages na nag-i-stay nga sila for the sake of the children, they stay married dahil wala silang ibang option, pero hindi na healthy for the family, not just for the marriage.”

She concluded by urging lawmakers to listen to the voices of Filipino citizens on the issue. "I'm sure papakinggan, dapat pakinggan talaga nila 'yung mga citizens, 'yung mga Filipino."

Carla Abellana is an actress and endorser who works for GMA. She used to be married to fellow Kapuso star Tom Rodriguez. Before entering showbiz, she graduated with honors from De La Salle University with a degree in psychology.

Previously, Carla took to Instagram and shared stunning photos in Japan. The actress donned a white tight-fitting undershirt and coupled it with a beige vest. She had black pants, a matching eyewear, and her look was simply perfect. Carla looked really pretty and many netizens commented positively.

In another social media post, Carla shared a pic of a pair of slippers with one slipper seemingly having chew-marks made by a pet. The cream-colored slippers looked like it was made by Havaianas, a popular footwear manufacturer, as shown by the logo on the top and straps. Based on the website of Havaianas, a similar pair costs over a thousand bucks with some models even going for two thousand bucks or more. In the caption that the actress wrote, she asked everyone in general to tell her they have puppies without telling her they do have puppies.
