Chelsea concluded her post by expressing gratitude for the blessings and gifts from Antipolo Cathedral and thanked Father Nante Tolentino — rector of Antipolo Cathedral — for his prayers. She dedicated her pilgrimage to Mama Mary, asking for guidance as she embarks on her own voyage representing the country at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant.
Chelsea wrote:
“I was so nervous. It felt like I was about to meet someone really important and significant in my life. And I was.
“My family is deeply religious and I knew about Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage or Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje in Antipolo. I knew about the pilgrimage every May to July and I was now doing it myself.
“It brought tears to my eyes when I came face to face with her-- tears of happiness and a certain spiritual serenity came over me. I felt in my heart that, no matter where my journey leads, she would continue to look after me just like my own Mother.
“This was really a day I would call #blessed. Thank you, Father Nante, for your prayers and blessings. And thank you for the gifts, Antipolo Cathedral. I will forever treasure them.
“Thank you, Mama Mary. Always. Guide me as I embark on my own voyage.”
Chelsea Manalo is a beauty queen and model from Bulacan. She rose to fame after winning the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, where over 50 contestants competed.
