In an Instagram post, Manzano revealed the unfortunate turn of events, saying, "It hasn't been a great week. Due to an accident w/ my golden retrievers, I missed a wedding and a baptism due to my immobility." The actor's post included photos displaying the wounds and bruises he sustained during the accident.

Edu’s injuries prompted him to seek medical attention, and he expressed gratitude to the medical professionals who assisted in his recovery. He mentioned, "Yesterday Dr. Mark Edmon Tan of Medical City Santolan had to extract another 30cc of fluid and blood from my knee after an initial 15cc the other day." This update underscores the severity of the injuries he suffered.

The actor also shared his sadness at missing two crucial occasions due to his immobility, promising to make it up to those affected by the unfortunate turn of events. He added, "Gus & Gi, Bob & Ayi babawi ako when I'm good enough to walk."

He also expressed his appreciation for the medical team that has been instrumental in his healing process, specifically thanking Dr. Mark Tan and Dr. Mariel. His post concluded on a hopeful note, saying, "Now I have hope."
