"Dear Robrito,

You don’t have to be an expert on fake news. All you have to do is check if the source is credible. Try it. If you mean am I an expert on SPREADING fake news, no I’m not. that rather dubious distinction goes to the trolls and apologists. Sincerely, EB"

Ely Eleandre Basiño Buendia, popularly known as Ely Buendia, is a Filipino musician, author and film director who gained fame as the guitarist, lead vocalist, and principal songwriter of the famed Filipino rock band, the Eraserheads.

The answer of Ely Buendia on the question of whether there is still a chance for an Eraserheads reunion earned mixed reactions from many netizens. On the morning of September 28, the singer-composer held a Q&A for his followers on his Twitter account. One of his fans asked if there would ever be a chance for Eraserheads band members to reunite. Ely answered if Leni would run, though it wasn’t clear if he meant it or was offhand and non-serious about the band reuniting if VP Leni would run for public office.

Ely Buendia was interviewed by celebrity couple, Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro. During the interview, questions soon turned to the singer's former legendary band, Eraserheads. When Ely was talking about their song Minsan, the singer claimed that the lyrics are "cringe-worthy" because many thought that the song was about the friendship between bandmates. Ely claimed that this was in fact not true and revealed that they were never close nor were they friends.
