Posts showing the announcement that the show will stop airing, and calling such ‘the end of an era,’ surfaced on various social media channels.
Later, however, the hosts clarified it was all just an April fool prank and added the show’s theme for April 1, the hashtag #NilolokoMoKoEh, which later trended on Twitter.

On their April 1 episode, Hazel said she was supposed to fake a cry during the prank.
“I was supposed to fake cry yesterday. Because of what we put you guys through, we'll keep our hotline open longer,” she said at one point on the show.

Hazel and Markki also posted clarificatory messages on their personal IG accounts, with the latter sharing on his IG Stories the screenshot showing #NilolokoMoKoEh as among the top 5 trending hashtags on Twitter.
“Sorry na guys! We are not going to end the show. It's an April Fools Prank,” Markki wrote in the caption of his post on IG Stories.
The Morning Rush is a weekday show aired Monday to Friday on Monster RX radio from 6AM to 10AM. It is hosted by Chico Garcia, Hazel Aguilon, and Markki Stroem. It also airs as a special every last Saturday of every month from six to nine in the morning, serving as a get-together show for loyal listeners who call themselves “Rushers.”
