Marietta Subong or Pokwang is among the most well-loved comediennes in the industry. Her frank and motherly ways are always "patok" among Filipinos. She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic. Some of her popular movies are “Call Center,” “A Mother’s Story,” and “Edsa Woolworth.” She has two daughters, Mae and Malia. Her split with Lee O'Brian has caused a buzz on social media.
As previously reported by KAMI, Pokwang was interviewed by Kuya Kim Atienza and Susan Enriquez on GTV’s ‘Dapat Alam Mo.’ During the interview, Pokwang revealed that she no longer loves her former partner, American actor Lee O’Brian. However, she will only be able to fully move on from Lee once he gets deported from the Philippines. The Kapuso star also confirmed that money was a factor in her split with Lee.
Meanwhile, Pokwang tweeted about Korean star Ryan Bang's wish to live in the Philippines permanently. The comedienne praised Ryan as a good person, contrasting with some other foreigners possibly having ulterior motives. Netizens speculated that her comments were hinting at Lee O’Brian, her former American partner. Pokwang made headlines months ago after going to the Bureau of Immigration to file a deportation case against Lee.
