Benedictine sisters setup their own community pantry right outside St. Scholastica's college in Manila.
The nuns were spotted praying first before they opened the pantry.
People were also lining up outside the campus, waiting for them to be able to secure their needs.
The heartwarming photos were quickly uploaded on the Facebook page of the CBCP, and quickly gained traction online.
Many netizens prayed for the sisters, expressing their support for such a noble venture.

Several Pinoy celebrities slammed the red-tagging of the organizers of the rapidly becoming popular community pantry. Many of them are asking why should the government train its guns on something that benefits the community when there are so many other problems that it should focus on. The Maginhawa community pantry organizers halted its operations after government forces and supporters linked their initiative to the communists. Some government officials also suggest that such initiatives need government approval.
The Maginhawa community pantry in Quezon City has shut down its operations due to red-tagging. The organizer appealed to the Office of Mayor Joy Belmonte last week for help after three police officers asked for her contact number and asked which organization she belonged. This created fear and now, she had to stop what she's doing due to red tagging. She said that the accusations were all baseless and that all she wanted to do was to help others.
