Rita Avila remembered her son Ellia Jesu on his supposed birthday on Sunday, November 10.

KAMI learned that the veteran actress shared on her Instagram account a photo of a big moth along with an old picture of her late son.

According to Rita, the big moth stayed on their set for a long time and seemed like it was watching them.

"November 10, 2019 - 13th birthday of our angel son Jesu. Di na daw siya little butterfly or langaw. Big boy na siya. Big moth on the set. Been there for hours while Kate and I were dancing like crazy during a long break. It flew in circles on top of us then stayed there as if watching us," she wrote on the photo.

It is a well-known belief in Filipino superstitions or "pamahiin" that a butterfly or moth symbolizes a dead relative.

Ellia Jesu is Rita's only child with television director Erick Reyes. He died in December 2006, a month after his birth due to complications from heart surgery.
