- The basketball exhibition game’s target proceeds of Php 1 million will be donated to the earthquake victims in Mindanao
It’s not just Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto who made efforts to donate to the Mindanao quake victims. Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo of Kawit, Cavite is also included in the list as he invited male celebrities for a basketball exhibition game for a cause.
Artists invited to play against the Kawit All-Stars were Marco Gumabao, Gab Lagman, Mark Herras, Juancho Trivino, Jason Abalos, Axel Torres, Van Ong, Onyok Velasco, JM Canillas, Ervic Vijandre, and Joseph Marco.
Some of them came from their tapings and went directly to Cavite and still played the game without getting enough sleep because it was for a good cause.
The Aguinaldo Cup aims to accumulate Php 1 million proceeds to be donated to the quake victims in Mindanao.
The game ended with the celebrity team losing just a mere point from the Kawit All Stars (85-84).
Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo is the current mayor of Kawit, Cavite who is dubbed as the ‘millennial mayor’.
