Moira Dela Torre expressed not just her happiness winning the Himig Handog 2019 but also her joy of working with Daniel Padilla for their song entry ‘Mabagal’ in the competition.
The singer stated that it felt like she wasn’t working at all throughout the process of their collaboration for the song. She just enjoyed it and more than being the winner, it felt like she also won a friendship with the actor.
“Hindi ko naramdaman na trabaho siya at all,” Moira mentioned.
She continued, “Kaya sobrang nag-enjoy lang kami. All throughout the process naramdaman ko na ang napanalunan ko talaga is 'yung friendship ni Daniel. Mas lumalim ang friendship namin. 'Yung part na nanalo pa kami, sobrang bonus 'yun.”
The recording artist also stated that her fellow singer was the kindest person she’d ever worked with in the industry and was happy that she was able to team up with a ‘legend-in-the-making’.
“Working with Daniel, it was so great. It felt like working with a legend in the making. He is so kind... Kasi ako, medyo introvert ako, eh. Medyo mahiyain talaga ako, pero friendly ako. Pero si Daniel, kahit anong kwarto ang pasukin niya, lahat kinakamayan, lahat hini-hello. Lahat. As in si Daniel siguro ang pinaka-mabait na nakilala ko sa industriya, kaya napakasaya ko na nakatrabaho ko siya,” the Idol Philippines judge described.
She also divulged that she and the Kapamilya actor might be working again soon for a much bigger scale than producing their song for Himig Handog.
“I don't think I can share details yet kasi wala pa namang nakalatag officially, pero we are talking about a bigger one kasi bitin na bitin kami sa 'Mabagal'.”
