Inalmahan ni Bb. Gandanghari ang pagtawag sa kanya ng entertainment editor na si Ricky Lo sa dati niyang pangalan at pagtukoy sa kanya bilang lalaki dahil sa paggamit nito ng "him".
Ibinahagi niya ang screenshot ng text message ni Mariel Rodriguez kung saan binilugan niya ang 'Rustom' at 'him' upang mabigyan diin ang gusto niyang sabihin.
Ayon pa sa kanya, siya ay na misgender. Ipinaliwanag niya rin sa kanyang post kung ano ang misgendering.
“For people who are transgender, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming, coming into their authentic gender can be an important and affirming step in life.Sometimes, people continue to refer to a person who is transgender, nonbinary, or gender nonconforming using terms related to how they identified before transition."
Maari daw sadya o hindi sinasadya ang misgendering.

Tinawag niya rin ang pansin ni Ricky Lo at sinabing hindi niya mapapayagang gawin iyon sa kanya.
“Paging @therealrickylo. With all due respect, Tito Ricky but I don’t think I can allow anyone to misgender me or even call me by my former name. My preferred pronoun is HER and SHE, and you may call me BB. or by my LEGAL name Binibini,” she added.
Sa isang naunang ulat ng KAMI, kinailangang isugod sa ospital si BB matapos siyang saktan ng isa niyang katrabaho.
Si Binibini Gandanghari ay isang Filipino transgender actress, model, entertainer, comedian, at director. Siya ang nakakatandang kapatid ng aktor na si Robina Padilla.
