Teresa Loyzaga shared what her son, Diego Loyzaga, went through as he struggled with depression.
According to an interview with the celebrity on 'Magandang Buhay', her son suffered from the mental illness just a few months ago and is now slowly recovering.
He is maturing and he's realizing what little things actually mean.
Teresa said that depression is rampant in our society nowadays and is simply not discussed among people. She said:
Actually hindi ko ise-sentro na si Diego lang. Parang napansin ko lang sa society natin, hindi masyadong napag-uusapan ang depression. At the more na hindi natin ito pinag-uusapan, the more hindi natin ito maiintindihan.
Teresa also revealed that she also went through depression in the past. She shared that she just dealt with it the best way she possibly could until she was able to recover.
Alam mo you deal it one step at a time. You reach out, humingi kayo ng tulong. Ang maganda diyan kung mayroon kayong good family support, 'yung ipaalam mo sa miyembro ng pamilya mo. Huwag mong hanapin kung saan-saan.
Now that her son is slowly recuperating from his ordeal, the celebrity mom said that he will return in showbiz.
