According to Bauan Mayor Borjie Casapao, many students of Bauan Technical High School in Batangas were rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness.

In a report by the ABS-CBN News, Mayor Casapao said that the students experienced extreme heat during the school’s earthquake drill on Thursday. Around 153 students were brought to the hospital.

DZMM also reported that many ambulances responded and rushed the students to the hospital.

The classes at Bauan Technical High School have been suspended after the students were brought to Bauan General Hospital and Bauan Doctor’s Hospital.

As reported by the Inquirer (author Erwin Aguilon), some of the students were already stable and were allowed to go home.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Bauan will be meeting to discuss the incident.
