Mariel Padilla reveals whether she is Catholic or Muslim

Robin Padilla celebrated the Muslim festival Eid al-Fitr. KAMI learned that his non-Muslim wife Mariel Padilla and their daughter Isabella also celebrated the religious holiday with him.
Photos of Mariel and Isabella wearing hijab and praying in Robin’s prayer room went viral on social media.
When asked by a netizen why she wore a hijab despite not being a Muslim, the actress had this to say:
“I am not a Muslim. I am a Catholic. I was born a Catholic and I still am.
“But I respect my husband’s religion therefore kasama niyo ako sa pag gugunita ng Eid Al Fitr kaya bumati kami ng anak ko ng Eid Mubarak sa lahat ng mga kapatid namin sa Islam (kasama ka doon).
“Nasa loob kami ng mosque. ‘Diba ‘yan ang tamang kasuotan sa loob ng mosque? ‘Diba dapat naka hijab sa loob ng mosque?” Mariel commented, as reported by ABS-CBN News.

KAMI previously reported that Mariel opened up about the concerns she had about her second pregnancy.
Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez tied the knot on August 19, 2010. The actress-host gave birth to Isabella on November 14, 2016. She delivered the baby in Delaware, USA. Mariel announced her second pregnancy on Mother’s Day 2019.
