Several famous celebrities in the country expressed their reactions to the rumored feud between Moira Dela Torre and Regine Velasquez.
KAMI learned that the two singers had a disagreement during the previous episode of the new singing reality competition “Idol Philippines.”
Regine told a contestant, who sounded like other musicians such as Moira and Yeng Constantino, to find her unique voice and not imitate someone’s way of singing.
The “Titibo-Tibo” singer then rebutted that it is hard for an amateur to find a unique voice and she admitted that her songs before also sounded the same.
Because of this, a lot of netizens speculated that something is not going well between the two judges and even other celebrities reacted to the issue through an interview with Cinema News.
Jed Madela claimed that the two female singers presented their points well and that he knows that they are aware if a contestant has a potential.
Erik Santos and Zsa Zsa Padilla both agreed that it is natural if someone has the same sound as their idols and their uniqueness may soon come out if given the opportunity to advance to the next round.

Meanwhile, Rey Valera elaborated the arguments of Regine and Moira, emphasizing that it is really important for a contestant to present something new even though it is difficult.
“Parehong tama. Tama si Regine in a sense na, kung sasali ka sa contest o competition, kailangan magpakita ka na naiiba ka sa standard…” Rey quipped.
“Tama din naman si Moira na talagang kapag nag uumpisa ka, garbage in, garbage out. Ibig sabihin, kung ano yung naririnig mo, sino idol mo, kadalasan yun ang kinokopya mo,” he added.
