Angelica Panganiban reveals how she got the ‘Becky’ role in her previous film

Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban willingly shared to public an interesting and never-before-heard story about her “Becky” role in “Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa.”
KAMI learned that the said character in the 1995 hit movie made a mark in the hearts and minds of many film viewers and it also made the celebrity more prominent.
Angelica admitted to public that she was not the original “Becky” in the film and her role was just a friend of the antagonist.
However, she disclosed in an interview in Jeepney TV that the Director of the movie encountered some problems with the real “Becky” so she was tapped to play the much-talked-about character.
“Isa ako sa classmates ni Princess Sarah, kaibigan ako ni Laviña. Yung ‘Becky’ noon na kinuha nila, hindi okay doon sa Director. Parang hindi nasusunod yung sinasabi ng Director…
“Naalala ko, naglalaro lang ako sa baba… Bumaba yung [isang staff]… Sabi niya, ‘Sino dito may memorized nang mga lines ni Becky?’ Memorized ko yung lines nilang lahat kasi syempre, noong bata ka, fan ka ng Princess Sarah…
“So noong tinanong yun, [sabi ko], ‘Ako po!’ Hindi ko naman alam na papalitan na pala yung artista. Pinagbihis nila ako. Kaya si Becky, Malaki yung costume niya kasi hindi naman talaga kaniya yun,” Angelica narrated.
