Teacher Gennie Panguelo, serves as an inspiration many people especially the youth struggling to reach their goals because of her attitude in pursuing her dreams. She had taken the LET for 25 times.

She successfully passed the Licensure Examination for teacher after 25 tries. Teacher Gennie is presently teaching in Tarlac at Tarukan Elementary School.

In a video shared by Doc Willie Ong, Panguelo said that she immediately worked as a teacher to educate her fellow Aetas right after graduating.

She also revealed that she was able to teach after graduation because the government were not so strict during that time. Educators were allowed to teach even without passing the LET. However, she started taking the test since 1990.

At around year 2010, the government became strict with implementing the law about teacher's license as a requirement for a public school teacher. That's when teacher Gennie started to experience insults and belittling.

“Sinasabi nila matanda ka na, 'di ka pa pumapasa,” she recalled.

After finally passing the exam in March 2016, her story became a reminder especially to those who try their luck in passing the LET. She reminded her fellow aspirants to never give up.

She is currently finishing her Ph.D. in Teaching and Management.
