Several prominent personalities in the country have broken their silence regarding the controversial statement of Jimmy Bondoc versus ABS-CBN.

KAMI learned that the said singer stated in his recent post that he is excited for the shutdown of what he called as “the biggest TV network” in the Philippines.

He claimed that the company has ruined both arts and culture and that it runs programs that have “pre-determined” winners already.

The musician also called the Kapamilya network as a snake pit that has a lot of sexual harassment and bullying issues.

“I am eagerly awaiting your demise. I know how this sounds. And I know the nasty comments which are bound to come. I don't care,” Jimmy exclaimed.

“If you think COMELEC is bad, wait until you see the real machinery that is known as "the biggest network." This is not schadenfreude. This is hope! This is for real change,” he added.

Because of this, some showbiz personalities denounced what the singer said and they pointed out that closing their network will result to loss of thousands of jobs.

Angel Locsin earlier had a Twitter war with Jimmy while Angeline Quinto also decided to defend the network that she is currently in.

Meanwhile, Sunshine Cruz also posted a message about how the Kapamilya network helped her in rebuilding her career few years ago.

The multi-awarded actress emphasized that she is not excited to see lots of employees losing jobs because of the shutdown that Jimmy wished.

"Year 2013.
