Rags to riches stories have touched the hearts of people as these stories prove that anyone can be successful as long as you put your heart and mind to it.
A couple’s success story has recently made rounds on social media after they shared how they lived in the past as they both struggled to make ends meet.
KAMI learned that couple George Bedia-Anas and Charmilyn Bandila-Anas only lived on corned beef and pancit canton in the past.
They shared their story on their page, George & Chin Inspirations, “Chin and I share a common struggle 5 years back. She used to depend on a corned beef value pack worth Php7.00 as an employee earning minimum wage while I depended on pancit canton as unemployed to survive the week.
“I sold siomai, pizza roll, hotdog bun, etc. for a living while finding a decent job. People were laughing but we didn't really care. We started as a team and we made it through life’s battles as a team. Some think we're lucky to be living the life we have now but the truth is, before we were able to enjoy the finer things that we have today, we've had to go through the worst.”
Despite these shortcomings, the couple persevered and now owns a company called Suretrust Group which they established back in 2015.
According to DailyPedia, Suretrust Group is a company that deals with new car loans processing, real estate, travels and tours, and visa consultancy. The company also has eight branches across Visayas and Mindanao.
Their story garnered reactions and praises from netizens who lauded the couple’s efforts to become successful.
