Lorin and Venice Gutierrez reveal the real parenting style of their mom Ruffa

The two lovely daughters of former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez unhesitatingly talked about how their mom disciplined and raised them.
KAMI learned that Lorin and Venice Gutierrez guested in “Magandang Buhay” during its recent episode.
Lorin initially admitted that there had been a lot of pressure with how they look, considering that they both are daughters of a former beauty queen.
The younger Gutierrez added that they would always be compared to their mom but she also stated that it is good to get traits both from their mother and father.
When the show’s host asked if they have siblings quarrel sometimes, Lorin said that they would usually fight over the small things inside their house.
"So before, when we were young, we would wake up every morning nang super early tapos tumatakbo kami sa may TV para kunin yung remote,” she explained.
“Whoever got the remote first nung day na yun, sa kanila na for the whole day," she added.
She also said that whenever they have these fights, they would commonly resolve it by themselves without telling their mom.

Among the two, Lorin shared that Venice would always be the one who got reprimanded first because she is the type of daughter who speaks her mind.
"Di naman siya sumasagot [like] disrespectful, but if there's something on her mind, she'll say it," she quipped.
With regards to how they were disciplined, Venice disclosed that their mom would usually ground them from watching TV and tell them to read books instead.
They also often received physical punishments from Ruffa such as standing for 60 minutes while facing the wall.
"Laging sinasabi ni mommy na, 'stand in the corner, face the wall for an hour.' Pero after 10 minutes, nakakalimutan na niya," Lorin stressed.

Lorin and Venice Gutierrez are the daughters of actress Ruffa Gutierrez to former Turkish husband Yilmaz Bektas. Their parents got married in 2003 but they separated in 2007.
