Rita Gaviola, also known as "Badjao Girl," has come a long way ever since Topher Quinto Burgo candidly took a photo of her during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon back in 2016.

KAMI learned that Rita is now living more comfortably than she did before, thanks to her popularity among social media users.

The young girl grabbed the chance of a lifetime and decided to join the ABS-CBN reality show, Pinoy Big Brother 7: Teen Edition when she was only 13 years old.

Because of this, she became more popular and was offered different projects which helped sustain her education.

Aside from acting, Rita was also offered a modelling career because of her innocent-looking facial features and model-like physique.

Due to her fame, a loyal fan from the US, Grace Kreutzer, noticed her and helped her along the way.

Grace gave financial assistance to Rita and her family to renovate their house. In her vlog, Badjao Girl said, “Thank you so much Mommy Grace sa pag papaayos po ng bahay nmin, may C.R. na din po kami.”

As of the moment, the young celebrity is focusing on her studies but is still doing a bit of modelling on the side.

In a previous report by KAMI, Rita Gaviola's acting performance in the show "Sahaya" received mixed reactions from viewers.

Badjao Girl, whose real name is Rita Gaviola, is a Badjao native, hence her moniker. Her family moved to Lucena City in Quezon all the way from Zamboanga. She entered the famous PBB house at the age of 13 and was the second housemate to get evicted during that time due to her emotional sensitivity.
