Man shares battle with Stage 4 cancer due to addiction in Mobile Legends

The Philippine gaming community has grown big after the successful launch of mobile games such as Mobile Legends, Rules of Survival, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in the country.
Mobile Legends, a famous multiplayer online battle arena, has recently been linked to a viral post that circulated on social media.
KAMI learned that the post was from Michael Tumagan who shared that his addiction to the game Mobile Legends led to his current health problem which was stage 4 colon cancer.

In his post, Michael shared that he wouldn’t eat nor sleep due to his addiction to the mobile game.
"Stage 4 Colon cancer, malalang sakit. Hindi ko po akalain na mangyayare sakin ito, kung mababalik lang ang panahon para mapigilan ang pagkakasakit ko nito, nawalan ako ng disiplina sa katawan, na adik ako sa Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, to the point na hindi na ako kumakain at natutulog, tutulog ng umaga mga 9 to 10am magdamag po un tapos gigising ako gabi na mga 6 to 8pm dun palang ako kakain, tapos laro na ulit, tapos mahina pa ako sa tubig, hanggang sa nakaramdam na Ako ng di maganda sa katawan ko, ganon naging cycle ng buhay ko. ngaun ito ang nangyare sakin.
“Kaya sa lahat po ng bagay dapat tlaga hindi nasosobrahan, dahil di nyo na mababalik ang pangyayare! Wala napo pag asa na maalis pa ang tumor ko sa rèctum kasi lumala napo, hindi na pwedeng galawin ang tumor kasi affected napo ung pantog at gal blader ko. Pag ginalaw pa mamamatay po ako dretso sa operating room. Nagpapasalamat ako sa mga doctors ko kasi ginawa po nila lahat ng kanilang makakaya. kasing laki napo ng kamao ung tumor ko.. tanging paraan nlng po ay magpa radiation po ako para umimpis ang bukol ko. Medyo malaki laki lang po ang kailangan ko na halaga.”
His post garnered mixed reactions among netizens on social media.

As reported earlier by KAMI, a viral photo of a dog tied to a wooden post circulated online. The dog was apparently tied to the post after damaging his owner's cellphone. The said photo garnered mixed reactions from netizens.
