Following the news of Liza Soberano dropping out of the upcoming film 'Darna,' people have chimed in on who they want to see as the local superheroine.

Jessy Mendiola, Nadine Lustre, Kathryn Bernardo, and Maja Salvador are some of the Kapamilya stars that people have been eyeing as Darna.

KAMI learned that Filipino graphic artist Cholo Delos Reyes Velas or Chovelasarts has recently drawn Jessy as Darna which he shared online.

He wrote, "@senorita_jessy as Darna, coz why not? Still not sure with the helmet though, might make some few changes to it."

The said fan art caught the attention of the Kapamilya star as she dropped a comment on the post expressing her gratitude, “Oh wow thank you," with a matching heart emoji.

However, this drew mixed reactions from netizens on the entertainment site Fashion Pulis.

“Parang awa nyo na. Wag naman po.”

“Ibaon nalang po ang kwento ni Darna kung sya ang gaganap!”
