- Liza Soberano decided to leave behind “Darna” because of a persistent finger injury
- She sustained the injury while filming a fight scene for “Bagani” last year
- According to an interview with Liza in 2018, it was actor Justin Cayugan who accidentally fractured her finger
Liza Soberano has withdrawn from the upcoming superhero movie “Darna” because of a persistent finger injury she sustained last year while filming an action scene for “Bagani.”
KAMI learned that Liza already revealed last year which actor from the fantaserye accidentally caused her injury.
According to a report from The Philippine Star (authored by Jan Milo Severo), it was actor Justin Cuyugan who accidentally fractured her finger while they were shooting a sword fight scene.
“I got injured in the middle of the fight scene. Kasi when we were doing the scene, I guess we were really feeling it and medyo nagmamadali din kasi kami dahil umuulan and we have to get the scene before it starts raining.
“We were able to practice the scene before we took it. But in the middle of the scene, I guess the emotions took over. Accidents happen and natamaan ‘yung kamay ko nung sword,” Liza said.
KAMI reported earlier that Liza burst into tears while apologizing to her fans for backing out of “Darna.”
Liza Soberano is a Filipina-American actress who started out as a commercial model before hitting it big in showbiz due to her love team with Enrique Gil. Liza and Enrique have already admitted that they have been a couple for years already.
