Kapuso comedian Jose Manalo got cleared from his alleged involvement on his estranged wife Annalyn's civil liability.

The case dragged his name on a P15 million debt that his wife owes from businessman Froilan Clemente Jr.

In a three-page resolution dated March 28, the former 17th Division of the Court of Appeals dismissed Clemente's petition to bind Jose's name on the compromised agreement made by the businessman and Annalyn.

The agreement says that the P15 million debt that Annalyn personally owes Clemente was meant to be paid in the form of properties worth P50 million.

It also contained Jose's name without his consent and his signature from it, which signifies that he was unaware of the agreement.
