Kapamilya actor Vhong Navarro revealed that he felt nervous while escorting Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray during her Grand Homecoming in ABS-CBN.
KAMI learned that the celebrity’s confession took place during the opening program of the noontime variety show entitled “It’s Showtime.”
The topic was brought up when Anne Curtis and Vice Ganda started teasing Vhong for being a good-looking escort of Catriona during the much-anticipated homecoming.
“Ako kanina, gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa management at sa ABS-CBN at Showtime [dahil] ako po ang napili niyong mag-escort sa napaka-gandang dilag na ito,” the actor gratefully quipped.
“Kanina kinakabahan ako pero sabi ni Catriona, ‘Huwag kang kabahan, basta enjoy lang,’” he added.
Vhong, being one of the hosts of “It’s Showtime,” hilariously expressed that due to the beauty queen’s visit and calm demeanor, he felt as if he was the one guesting on the show.

He also shared how he eventually lost his nervousness because of Catriona’s humility and energy in front of the crowd.
“Pinagbuklod tayo ng kanyang laban. Nagkaisa tayo at pinagsigawan na tayo ay Pilipino,” the comedian proudly expressed.
“Sometimes, I really have to pinch myself… to see all the people turn up in my grand parade kahit na sobrang init ng araw… just to see the joy in their faces,” the Bicolana model concluded.
