Veteran actress and singer Armida Siguion-Reyna passed away this afternoon, February 11, 2019. She was 88 years old.
KAMI learned that the well-known artist died at the Makati Medical Center after reportedly battling with cancer.
According to ABS-CBN News, the sad announcement came from Armida’s sister Irma Potenciano.
No other details were provided yet regarding the passing of the famous singer/actress.
Several news websites including KAMI are still waiting for statements from Armida’s family about the gloomy incident.
Born on November 4, 1930, Armida Siguion-Reyna was a Filipina celebrity who starred in several movies during the ‘90s including “Ikaw Pa Lang Ang Minahal,” “Hihintayin Kita sa Langit,” and “Ang Lalake sa Buhay ni Selya.”
Aside from being an actress and singer, she served as the chairperson of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) during the administration of Erap Estrada.
