ABS-CBN shows video of emotional Bentong crying 1 day before he died

Bentong, whose real name is Domingo Vusotros Brotamante Jr., passed away on February 9, 2019 at the age of 55 due to cardiac arrest.
KAMI learned that a video of Bentong just one day before his death was aired on television.
On the ABS-CBN program ASAP, a video of the comedian, taken on February 8, was shown to the viewers.
The clip features Bentong getting emotional and shedding a tear while delivering his birthday message to Mr. M or Johnny Manahan, the person who discovered him in showbiz and gave him his big breaks.
“Siya ang nag-discover sa akin. Wala akong masabi sa kaniya.
“Napakabait ni Mr. M. Nagkasakit ngayon ang anak ko, humingi ako ng tulong sa kaniya. Binigyan niya ako ng pera tapos ayon, gumaling ang anak ko.
“Ang birthday wish ko kay Mr. M, ingatan mo rin sarili mo. Mahal na mahal kita. Hindi kita makakalimutan.
“Pasensya na po kayo Mr. M, nagiging emosyonal ako dahil sa mga tulong mo sa akin.
“Nag-iisa siyang Mr. M, walang katulad. Happy birthday, maraming salamat,” Bentold said in the interview.

As reported earlier by KAMI, comedian Domingo Vusotros Brotamante Jr. more popularly known as Bentong died on Saturday morning. His death was confirmed by his son-in-law through a Facebook post. According to the post, the comedian was declared dead on arrival at the said hospital following a cardiac arrest.
Bentong started off as a production assistant for ABS CBN. He was then given a break to be a comedian and was known as the “side-kick” of comedian and television host Willie Revillame in his noontime shows.
