The causes of death of the newlywed couple who went to Maldives for their honeymoon have been revealed. KAMI learned that the autopsy report about the couple has been released.

In a report by GMA News TV, Leomer Lagradilla died due to cardiac arrest and his wife Erika died due to drowning. This has been shared by the father of Leomer.

In a previous report by KAMI, the remains of Leomer and Erika arrived in the Philippines already last Saturday. Their family were really emotional as they saw their deceased loved ones.

"Masakit pero dapat naming tanggapin," said Gloria Perez Callado, mother of Erika.

The Department of Tourism covered the P1.2 million repatriation fee for the remains of Leomer and Erika.

The remains were brought straight to Laguna. The interment is set on January 26 at Lumban Memorial Cemetery.

Leomer and Erika are highschool sweethearts who got married last December after being in a long-distance relationship. They have been together for 10 years. They arrived in Maldives last January 13.
