Several celebrities took to social media their disappointment after hearing the public apology and explanation of viral Ateneo “bully” student and his mom.

KAMI learned that the controversial kid and his mother graced a media interview for the first time to ask for public understanding and explain what really happened.

The mom aired her apology to the victim and to the university for being dragged in the issue but she claimed that her son needs understanding because he is just a child.

The viral student also stated that what he did was self defense but it just appeared in the video that he was the more aggressive man.

“I would like to apologize for the action of my son.

“Hindi naman ako nam-bully for no reason. Para sa akin, hindi naman bullying 'yung ginawa ko because I was also defending myself naman eh, in a way. Kaso nga lang in the video, mukhang ako talaga 'yung mas aggressive,” Joaquin Montes said.

Here is the video of the apology:

Because of this, Kapamilya comedian Ogie Diaz reacted and slammed the mother and his child for allegedly not sounding apologetic on their statements.

He even gave a piece of advice to the mom and said that she should have guided her son even before so that the incident could be avoided.

Actress Ynez Veneracion also expressed her side and said that she did not feel the sincerity of the mother and her child while asking for an apology.

Like Ogie, the actress also took a swipe at the kind of breeding that the mother gave to the Ateneo student and said that there is still time to correct the mistakes.

Ynez added.

Meanwhile, former PBB housemate Fourth Solomon and award-winning director Joey Javier Reyes attacked the way that the mother aired the apology.

Fourth claimed that it seems to him that the mother still tolerates his child while the filmmaker said the two failed to find what exactly the mistake is.

“Yung ina kunsintidor ang dating… halatang may attitude din,” the former housemate wrote.

“The failure to see the mistake says it all,” Joey exclaimed.
