A 23-year-old Filipina named Samra has become a viral sensation in the country after falling in love and getting married to a 21-year-old American named Triston.
KAMI learned that the two met each other by playing online games.
According to GMA Network, Samra was a domestic helper in Saudi Arabia when she got to know Triston.
The two chatted with each other and made video calls to each other. Later on, they officially became a couple and committed to a long-distance relationship.
Triston then proposed marriage to Samra, who said yes to him. They tied the knot in the Philippines, but Tristan had to convert first to Samra’s religion, which is Islam.
Their first wedding was a traditional Muslim wedding while their second one was a modern wedding.
The American is planning to help his Pinay wife become an official citizen of the United States so they could start living there.
Their story was featured on the Kapuso program “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.”
